More Reasons Not to Lose Heart
...for we walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7
Paul tells us in our text that he doesn’t lose heart because he knows the difference between his earthly home and his eternal home.
It takes faith to live this way. Faith isn't natural. The world looks down upon it.
The things we touch, feel, and experience can seem more real than the spiritual realm. People who haven't experienced saving faith and peace with God through Jesus only live by sight.
If you have taken the time to read this email, you are probably a person of faith. But even those of us who have been given the gift of faith still struggle to remember what truly matters. We get so caught up in the priorities of this world that we begin to live by sight and not by faith.
The argument Paul makes in our text is that a life of faith is a life that keeps the eternal in the forefront.
Can you take a few minutes tonight to consider the practical differences between living by faith and living by sight? Read the head, heart, and hands applications and ask God to strengthen your faith in Him.
